Summer Course Policies
The period for our summer courses begins June 15th and end August 6th. Classes are scheduled according to the “Summer Courses 2015 - Get Ahead. Get Inspired.” However, we reserve the right to make schedule, curriculum, and instructor changes as necessary. Registered parents will be informed of any changes and be given the opportunity to receive a full refund of any applicable pre-paid tuition and fees.
Overflow Classes and Special Requests
We anticipate that many of our classes will find more than 10 interested students. In such a case, we may schedule additional classes later in the afternoon. We will notify you if space is not available in the requested class and whether or not we have enough students to create a new section at a different time. A class must have at least 2 students to make.
Missed Classes and Extra Help
When a student misses a class or desires extra help, he or she may come to the Study Lounge on Sundays between June 15th and August 9th between 12pm and 5pm. The student will cover the concepts and complete guided practice problems with the aid of the Study Lounge tutors; please know that the Study Lounge targets a three student to one tutor ratio and is not a complete substitute for students being present during the scheduled class time and/or private tutoring.
All make-ups or extra help for summer courses must be completed by August 9th, after which no additional support will be offered unless stated in the course description.
If for whatever reason (weather, sickness, etc) a class is cancelled, it will be made up on a date and time agreed upon by the majority of the students in the class.
No private lessons will be offered in lieu of missed classes.
Class Materials and Outside Requirements
All necessary curriculum materials are included except where noted in the course descriptions. Instructors will refrain from assigning required homework. However, outside practice is highly recommended.
Students may help themselves to a broad range of complimentary tasty and mostly nutritious snacks and beverages in our Study Lounge. They may also bring their own food.
Students should not use mobile phones or other electronic devices during class unless necessary or allowed by the class instructor. Students violating this rule may have their devices confiscated until a parent or responsible guardian retrieves them.
Payment and Refunds
The tuition for 1 week is $360, 2 weeks is $720, and 3 weeks is $1080. Enrolling a student in all 4 weeks of a summer course is $1200. Any additional fees will be listed in the course description.
Full payment is due on or before the first day of the class. Enrollment is not confirmed until the tuition is paid in full. Should a student need to withdraw from a single week in a course, we will give a full refund up to 7 days before the start of that course week and a 75% refund up to the end of the first day of that course week. No refund will be given after the first day of that course week.
If a student is enrolled in all 4 weeks of a summer course, we will prorate the refund up to the midpoint (or the end of the second week) of the course. No refund will be given after the end of the second week of the course.
